Winter is here, and everyone’s skin must be dry and itchy, right? In fact, this is because the external environment is relatively dry, the moisture loss is relatively fast, and the skin’s defense ability is relatively weak.
So how should we skincare in winter? Cleaning, hydrating, moisturizing, and sun protection are very important to us. In general, basic skincare is the four steps of cleansing-hydrating-moisturizing-sun protection.

1. Cleaning
The role of cleaning is to remove oil, dust, keratinocytes, and cosmetic residues on the skin surface. I have to clean my skin first, because I was too lazy to wash my face before, and then a lot of acne would appear the next day. Many times we feel that we don’t need to wash our face without makeup. In fact, it is not. Our face has a lot of oil and dust that we can’t see, so it’s important to clean it well.
2. Hydrating
Hydrating is particularly important for the skin. 60% to 70% of the skin components are water. The permeability and fullness of the entire skin are guaranteed by moisture. We use moisturizers containing moisturizing ingredients to increase the skin’s stratum corneum. Hydration, adjust the PH value of the skin. Don’t stop moisturizing because your skin has a lot of oil. On the contrary, oily skin needs to moisturize, because we need to adjust the skin’s water-oil balance. Other skin types need to be hydrated, such as dry skin.
3. Moisturizing
After replenishing it, it has to be able to retain the moisture of the skin, right, otherwise, the hydration is useless. At this time, what we are going to use is a moisturizing cream or moisturizing milk to add a certain amount of moisture and lipids to the skin, repair the damaged skin barrier function, and delay the skin’s moisture loss.
4. Sun protection
Many people ignore this step, thinking that in winter, the sun is not strong and the ultraviolet rays are not strong, so this step is removed. This is a very important step. There are also ultraviolet rays in winter, and the skin ages naturally. Sun exposure is the biggest cause of skin aging.
